The care and nurture of our church family is important and takes a variety of forms: gathered as the whole community, in smaller groups, sharing work together and spending time simply visiting with each other individually. It’s important that we stay connected – church is more than a place.

There are times in life when we need more. We have a Pastoral Care Visitor, Charlotte Boychuk at (403) 783-4807 who works with our minister to ensure that those needs are met the best we can. If you, or someone you know, are in need, please contact them directly or through the church office.

Ministry is also provided to seniors and longterm care facilities in Ponoka. CISCO, a team of volunteers, and our minister work together to provide a service once a month at Rimoka Lodge, Seasons and the Northcott Care Centre. Our minister also shares in a rotation with other ministers in the community to provide a weekly service at the Ponoka Hospital Longterm Care.

On March 2nd, nine people attended a Pastoral Care workshop with Rev. Alan Richards.  Our goal was to create a team that would visit people in the congregation – providing companionship and care, keeping us connected as a church family, and supporting the work of our Pastoral Care Visitor (Charlotte) and Minister (Robin).

Thank you to these members of our Care and Connecting Team:
Carol Dick, Helen Hagemann, Judy Hart, Rosalie Hodges, Marie Jones, Nell Liddle, Ken Liddle, Nancy McKenzie, and Wilma Tschabold.

If you are interested in knowing more about being part of the Team, please contact Robin.
